Little Falls police report shows more calls in 2025, modest drop in crime rate

Police Chief Kyle presented the department's 2025 annual report and highlighted a 51.5% clearance rate for cases resolved by arrest or other legal processes. "That is one number that kind of helps to highlight just, you know, the dedication that our officers have," Kyle told the council.
Chief Kyle noted the department ranks about 17th out of 61 comparable communities for its clearance rate and called attention to training, staff retention and partnerships with city hall and residents. "We have very highly professional, dedicated men and women, both officers and our administrative staff," he said.
Council members thanked the chief and staff for their work and emphasized training as a priority for both performance and retention. No formal action was required; the council received the report and placed it on file.
