The Willington Sustainability and Energy Committee on June 10 finalized language to ask the board of selectmen to advertise openings on the committee. Members agreed on text identifying three regular-member openings and describing the committee’s purpose.
The agreed text the committee prepared states that the Willington Sustainability and Energy Committee "meets once monthly with the goal of reducing the town's reliance on fossil fuels while saving taxpayers money. We currently have three openings. If interested, please send a letter of interest to the board of selectmen." The committee also agreed to include a contact email for questions.
Committee members assigned Brenda to type and email the notice to the member who will forward it to the board of selectmen. The committee asked that the notice describe the committee’s purpose and the application step (a letter of interest to the board).
