The Tremont Select Board on Jan. 21 tentatively accepted a $112,804 budget request from the Bass Harbor Memorial Library for fiscal year 2026.
The motion to tentatively accept the library board’s request was made by Select Board member Kevin Buck and seconded by Select Board member Howard Goodwin; the motion passed unanimously. The action places the request within the town’s ongoing FY26 budget preparation and does not constitute final appropriation.
The move came during regular business; the board heard the library’s request and voted to include the amount in budget planning. Town staff will carry the figure forward in budget materials and present any further adjustments or recommendations in upcoming budget meetings.
The Select Board confirmed the next regular meeting for Feb. 10, 2025, where further budget items are expected to appear on the agenda.
