Officials say Carbondale Rodeo went smoothly after added shuttles and security; bike parking flagged for expansion

Town Manager Ryan Hyland said shuttle increases, signage and cooperation with Rodeo security reduced congestion. "I think it went pretty well — things were pretty smooth," Hyland said.
The police chief added that roving patrols and coordinated signage — plus a shuttle system — kept people moving and helped get attendees to and from shuttles safely. Officials noted many bicyclists used trails and locked bikes along trail fencing, and suggested expanding secure bicycle parking and considering lighting along popular bike routes for evening returns.
Trustees and commissioners praised the partnership between town, county and Rodeo organizers and said the event remains a valued community tradition.
