Summary

Amanda Hutcheson, Parks & Recreation Director, presented three items for council consideration: a seasonal TruGreen grounds contract renewed at the 2025 price, an ARIS agreement to provide two accessible restrooms at the campus and five units at the field complex for the season, and a contract with Cincinnati Flooring to replace the lower-level Group A exercise room floor during the facility shutdown in August to address a recurring moisture issue.
Hutcheson said the TruGreen sales representative kept the price level from 2025 and recommended renewal. On the ARIS restroom agreement, she specified two accessible units for the campus and five units for the field complex for the season and asked council to place the agreement on the agenda for approval.
On the flooring, Hutcheson said the room has a light moisture film during seasonal HVAC transitions; custodial staff currently dry-mop before and after classes. She said contracting new flooring with Cincinnati Flooring is recommended to address the moisture concern and that the work is planned for the August shutdown. Councilor Joe Price asked what steps staff had taken to manage moisture in the meantime; Hutcheson said custodians are maintaining dry-mopping and staff had discussed the issue with service staff.
Council did not vote on these contracts at the work session; staff will place each contract on a future agenda for formal approval.
