At 7:43 P.M. on June 24, 2025, the Village of Alvo Board of Trustees voted to enter executive session to discuss discovery responses in the lawsuit Brandy Jordan v. Village of Alvo, et al. The motion to enter executive session was made by Gary Estes, seconded by Larry Langer, and passed unanimously (Yes-4, No-0). Trustee Hunter Long left the meeting during the executive session for parental obligations.
The board returned to open session at 10:31 P.M. and invited the public back into the meeting room; no members of the public returned. Chairperson Chris Juilfs moved that the board continue to review the attorney responses individually and that, absent any request to change a response from a board member, the responses be considered approved for the village attorney to submit. The motion carried (Yes-3, No-0, Absent Hunter Long). The interim clerk/treasurer and the village attorney will continue to gather and finalize the responses for submission.
