Summary

The Warren County Board of Commissioners moved through a condensed abatement docket and approved motions finding multiple taxpayers substantially complied with their previously filed statements of benefits.
Chair introduced each abatement and asked for motions. The board voted on a list that included Liquid Feed Transport, two Curry Tech personal-property entries (one from 2016 and a more recent 2025 filing), Steuart Grain Company Inc., Berkey's (real property), and Jordan Creek Wind Farm (real property and a separate utility filing). Each item was presented and placed before the board for a motion, second and voice vote.
Clerical and technical questions arose for several abatements. Commissioners noted a comma or missing number on Curry Tech’s filing that requires clarification and indicated staff will follow up to confirm figures before final signature. On Steuart Grain’s statement, staff identified a numeric correction needed before signing.
The board also read a previously approved resolution for additional appropriations (resolution 06/2026 06A) and voted to adopt the formal resolution number during the meeting.
Commissioners wrapped the abatement portion of the agenda by confirming motions and votes for each listed taxpayer. Several commissioners emphasized they would ask staff to verify documentation and correct any typographical or formula errors before final sign-off.
The docket discussion was procedural and passed without extended debate; no abatements were tabled or reversed during today’s session.
