Tippecanoe County Commissioners on June 15 approved a package of contracts, grant acceptances and administrative actions including a major road design contract, technology leases and a land sale to a utility.
The board authorized a design services contract with Aegis BLN USA for County Road 400 South / 375 South work with a contract value of $992,600. Staff described the contract as a standard design agreement; commissioners approved it by voice vote.
Commissioners approved three subdivision variances for the Green Ridge subdivision (formerly Eastland), following staff review and a statement that the highway department found the proposed stop‑control geometry acceptable.
The board accepted a warranty deed relating to GR GO3 Holdings parcel 8 on County Road 500 East (between 52 and 350 south). The county had held $163,520 in escrow and an additional payment of $11,480 will settle the claim; the deed acceptance was approved.
The county approved an addendum to its Sharp copier/printer master contract (purchase financed via US Bank) to replace 22 copiers and 68 printers. Cindy said the lease price did not increase and that the replacement mix should reduce per‑page costs by roughly $300 per month (about $15,000 over the life of the contract).
On technology, the board approved a one‑time purchase agreement with Dana Mark Development (referred to in discussion as Win Records / DanaMark) to replace the county's aging vital records issuance system; staff said the move should eliminate recurring annual maintenance fees except for major upgrades.
The board also approved a lease amendment reducing Gateway to Hope’s rent from $4,000 to $750 per month under a pop‑up arrangement at 2300 Ferry Street, and accepted a series of JDAI grant–funded contracts and MOUs for WIC services with Franciscan Alliance and Indiana University Health (allowing WIC staff to meet clients at hospitals) and a Purdue University MOU for supervised dietetics practice.
Resolutions approved included 2026‑18‑CM authorizing a grant application to the Indiana Finance Authority for the Buck Creek Coburn Wastewater Project (funds must be used for construction costs and Tracy was authorized to sign grant documents), 2026‑19‑CM creating two auditor funds for the Southeast Industrial economic development/TIF area, and 2026‑20‑CM waiving the county subdivision process so the county may proceed with the sale of 1.8 acres around Tippecanoe Villa to American Suburban Utilities.
The board also accepted a CASA ICJI VOCA formula grant for $300,000 with a required county match of $75,000 (two years) and a prosecutor VOCA grant for $371,096 with a required match of $92,774. An application to the Tippecanoe Villa from Ronald Swain was approved.
Next steps: most approvals authorize staff to execute contracts and related documents; the Buck Creek grant application requires submission to the Indiana Finance Authority. No formal objections were recorded on these agenda items during the meeting.
