Committee approves lease-term amendments for multiple Kenosha airport hangars

The Kenosha Finance Committee approved first amendments to several hangar lease agreements and a related memorandum of leases after a public hearing on March 3.
Airport staff explained that Hamlin Kubica, the owner of the listed hangars, is considering selling those properties. Staff said synchronizing start and end dates across the leases would make the collection more attractive to prospective buyers. The staff described the amended term as beginning March 1, 2025, and running through Feb. 20, 2050.
A committee member moved and the committee seconded approval; the clerk then called a recorded roll and recorded five ayes. The motion carried unanimously.
Staff characterized these amendments as term changes only; no changes to rent or tenant identity were reported. The committee’s approval sends the amendments to the city for administrative finalization.
