The Kenosha Finance Committee on March 3 unanimously approved a termination agreement between the City of Kenosha and Ford Aviation Real Estate LLC, a lease with AFLP LLC, and a sublease from AFLP LLC to Conquest Express LLC for the hangar at 4123 91st Avenue.
Airport staff said AFLP LLC is purchasing the hangar and plans to sublease it to Conquest Express LLC, the existing tenant. "They've been with us for years," a staff member said, noting the tenant operates two aircraft, including a King Air and a Learjet. Staff recommended approval at the public hearing.
Committee member motioned to approve items 1–3 after the required public hearings; the clerk conducted a recorded roll call. The votes recorded in the transcript were aye from Alderperson DeBaer, Alderperson Harper, Alderperson Mason, Alderperson Davis and Chairperson Wilson. The motion carried 5–0.
The transaction was described as part of routine airport property management: staff said aligning agreements and confirming sublease arrangements will allow the sale to proceed with the existing tenant in place. No public opposition was recorded during the hearing.
Next steps: the committee’s approval advances the termination, lease and sublease agreements for final administrative processing and any required city signoffs. The record does not specify closing dates or final sale price.
