The Selectpersons approved a series of financial and administrative items at their Aug. 20 meeting. The board approved Payables Warrant #13 for $387,686.67, Payables Warrant #14 for $307,727.68 (Harbor Volunteer Fire Department), Payables Warrant #11 for $24,229.05 (HVFD New Station Grant), payroll Warrant #12 for $4,018.10 and payroll Warrant #15 for $5,714.73; each motion passed unanimously 5–0.
Clerk Cheryl Robinson reported FEMA has revised the Carter's Beach project to remove a small area that had been questioned; the board authorized the clerk to meet with FEMA's representative and draft a letter. The board also approved a Clerk‑drafted Letter of Intent for RF Jordan to begin rock blasting for the Carter's Beach project. In a separate motion, the board approved the new road name Civic Street (off Wyman Road).
The board moved, seconded and voted 5–0 to appoint Cheryl Robinson as Town Clerk during the meeting.
