Selectpersons grant Goodwin property extension and Planning Board schedules public hearing

The Selectpersons granted the Goodwin property's request to extend required completion from Sept. 15 to Oct. 31, 2025; the Planning Board approved the Goodwin application and set a public hearing, and the Comp Plan Committee will meet Aug. 26 to discuss housing and natural resources.
The Selectpersons voted unanimously Aug. 20 to grant the Goodwin property at 62 Franklin Road an extension for completion of previously set requirements, moving the deadline from Sept. 15, 2025 to Oct. 31, 2025. Property representative Steve Salsbury supplied a recent survey and said hot weather had prevented grass from taking after seeding and haying. The extension motion, made by Bill Birdsall and seconded by Adam Foster, passed 5–0.
Planning Board Chair Doug Kimmel told the board the Planning Board had approved the Goodwin application and that a public hearing has been scheduled. Kimmel also noted that the Comp Plan Committee will meet Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. to discuss housing and natural resources.
The Selectpersons also considered a request by the Planning Board to amend the approved Selectboard minutes of July 16, 2025; a motion to change those minutes failed 1–3.
