Shelton trustees approve Aug. 16 street closure for 'Heroes Dance', authorize up to $2,000 to boost income survey LMI rate

Trustees decided to have Trustees Roe and Rabbe meet with SCEDD and Village Clerk Bonnie Doremus to explore options and authorized up to $2,000 in additional spending if necessary to attempt to reach a 51% LMI threshold.
Utility Superintendent Gillming raised timing issues with the village’s cleanup day and reported ongoing illegal dumping at the Tree & Grass Dump Site; the board discussed potential operational changes and checking other service vendors. The board also voted to pay claims as presented and adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
