Camp Verde council adopts resolution waiving renewal fees for three use permits

Acting Senior Planner Cory Mulcaire presented Resolution 2026-1218 and explained that three active use permits — Use Permit 16-955, Use Permit 2006-01 and Use Permit 2006-02 — were not renewed on time because both property owners and Town staff inadvertently missed the renewal deadlines. Mulcaire said the town's current fee-waiver policy does not specifically address these circumstances and recommended a one-time waiver of the renewal application fees.
Councilor Robin Godwin moved to approve Resolution No. 2026-1218; Vice Mayor Wendy Escoffier seconded the motion. The council approved the resolution by roll-call vote, 7-0.
Why it matters: the resolution removes the financial barrier to bringing the three permits current without penalty fees, while also highlighting a gap in the town's fee-waiver policy that staff acknowledged.
Next steps: the resolution was adopted and staff will proceed with processing the permit renewals; the council may consider updating the fee-waiver policy to address similar situations in the future.
