The River Ridge CDD Board of Supervisors accepted the resignation of James Gilman from Seat 1 (term expiring November 2026) at its Aug. 27 meeting and agreed on an administrative process to fill the unexpired term.
Mrs. Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter, and on a motion by Mr. Blumenthal seconded by Mr. Twombly the board voted to accept the resignation. The board agreed that because this is an appointment to fill the unexpired term (not an election), staff would notify The Meadows neighborhood and the Meadows’ POA manager via e‑blast about the vacancy, candidate qualifications and the submission process for resumes or letters of interest.
The board also noted that, if appointed, the replacement will receive the required oath of office and be provided materials on required ethics training, Form 1 filing, and the Sunshine Amendment and Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees. The item was recorded in the minutes and will be included on the next meeting agenda to consider submitted candidates.
