River Ridge CDD adopts FY2024/25 budget, approves special-assessments resolution

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted the district’s fiscal year 2024/2025 budget and a companion resolution imposing special assessments during its Aug. 27 meeting.

District Manager Chuck Adams told the board that the budget included scrivener errors and an incorrect description for "Street sweeping," which were corrected before the vote. The board then adopted Resolution 2024-07, "Relating to the Annual Appropriations and Adopting the Budget(s) for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2024, and Ending September 30, 2025," as amended. Mrs. Adams opened and closed the public hearing; no property owners spoke and no public emails were reported.

The board also held and closed a public hearing on Resolution 2024-08, which makes a determination of benefit and imposes special assessments for fiscal year 2024/2025. District Counsel Tony Pires recommended opening the hearing; after the board agreed to delete all references to "Exhibit B" on Page 2 and throughout the document, the resolution was adopted as amended.

Both actions were taken "on motion by Mr. Blumenthal and seconded by Mr. Twombly, with all in favor." Supervisors Terry Mountford, Kurt Blumenthal, Robert Twombly and Bob Schultz (participating by telephone) voted in favor; Supervisor James Gilman was not present to vote. The motions were recorded as adopted unanimously.

The board did not receive objections or public testimony on either measure during the hearings. The meeting minutes and the adopted resolutions will serve as the official record of the board’s actions.
