It also approved JPS‑35‑26, a multi‑year disaster recovery contract for the circuit clerk’s office with Logical House, Inc.; Kevin Baskkey of the circuit clerk’s office said disaster recovery funding covers data replication and a hot site to continue operations if courthouse infrastructure is disabled.
JPS‑36‑26, a one‑year contract with Kelly Graham to identify job placement for unemployed probationers (June 30, 2026–June 29, 2027) not to exceed $32,000, prompted the most discussion. Vice Chair Echo and other members sought assurances that the county would verify whether participants actually secured employment. Probation staff said the contract now includes a one‑year post‑service five‑question survey introduced after prior committee feedback, but staff said the survey is administered to former probationers and does not include employer verification. A county representative noted these services are funded through probation fees rather than the county general fund.
"Is this something we pay for every year or is this new?" Member U asked; Kevin Baskkey and probation staff explained the new contract replaces an expiring one and that a survey will be administered one year after services are completed. Vice Chair Echo said he would support approval if staff could add stronger verification measures.
Other procurement approvals included JPS‑37‑26 (Justice Text, Inc. audiovisual evidence software, not to exceed $50,000) and a purchase order to Sterecycle, Inc. for jail waste removal (not to exceed $18,242.95). The committee also approved an amendment to increase a contract with Trinity Services Group by $71,000 and combined several consent items for contract extensions and purchase order closures.
No member requested further delay on the listed procurement items; several motions were passed by voice vote or roll call as noted in the meeting record.
