The DuPage County Technology Committee on June 16 approved meeting minutes and several procurement and contract items during a regularly scheduled session.
Minutes approval: The committee approved item 26-1718 (minutes from the June 2, 2026 Technology Committee meeting). Treasurer Henry moved to approve the minutes; Member Childress seconded, and the motion carried.
Audiovisual procurement (26-1720): The committee considered a recommendation to approve a contract/purchase order to CDW Government Inc. for audiovisual equipment to upgrade two conference rooms (3600A and 3600B) to include integrated cameras, speakers and microphones so they match the existing setup in conference room 3500A and can be reserved for video conferencing. Member Childress explained the rationale and scope; Member Martinez seconded the motion and the committee voted to approve the procurement. The contract amount is transcribed in the record as '15,86342' (transcription unclear); staff identified procurement under the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act.
Consent item—close PO (26-1735): The committee approved item 26-1735 to decrease and close PO4997 with Cyber Risk Alliance LLC because the contract had expired. Member Childress moved the item and Member U seconded; no discussion was recorded and the motion carried.
Informational item DT-P-005026—ATMS maintenance/support: Committee members received and placed on file a recommendation for a purchase order to Traffic Control Corporation for annual maintenance and support of the Division of Transportation Centric ATMS software system for the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The transcript lists a contract total that is not clearly transcribed ('41,55'); staff stated the procurement was processed under 55 ILCS as not suitable for competitive bidding. The motion to receive and place on file was moved and seconded and carried.
Staff noted that a data security and accessibility exhibit has been added to RFP and bid templates to strengthen procurement language related to AI and data practices. No formal policy or ordinance changes were adopted during the meeting; staff said they will continue work to update the county's AI guidelines and procurement templates and will share Rivera's presentation materials with the committee.
The meeting adjourned after completion of the agenda; the committee plans to reconvene in two weeks.
