ADOT and county crews plan chip-seal, blading; Apache Trail to open Sept. 16

George Collaco of ADOT told the meeting he has received approval to begin mowing and to perform some chip-seal work in the area. He announced that Apache Trail will open on Sept. 16 and reminded residents that it is a primitive road where trailers and motorhomes are not allowed. A resident thanked Collaco for recent pothole repairs.
Joel McDaniel ("Jammer") of Gila County Roads said the culvert policy is being revised, that blading in the area will begin in October, that some potholes have been fixed, and that several cattleguards have been cleaned out. He said a skid-steer will be scheduled to clean community drainages and that the Stagecoach tie-ins are complete and will continue to be monitored.
No construction timelines or contractor award details were provided beyond seasonal scheduling and maintenance notes.
