On school safety staffing, Dwyer said the district is pursuing a full-time school resource officer through a state safety grant and is seeking $150,000 to cover salary and benefits for a three-year position. He said the SRO would be funded through that grant if awarded; the minutes do not state whether the grant has been submitted or approved.
Dwyer also said he and three teachers have formed a teacher advisory committee that will meet this week to discuss school climate and teacher retention.
