Klamath County adopts FY 2026–27 budget and approves multiple agreements and supplemental budgets

The board also approved a slate of operational agreements and contract amendments needed for county operations. Jeremy Morris, Public Works/Planning Director, presented and the board accepted a quote and signed a statement of work with Accela to use OpenCounter software. The sheriff’s office obtained approval to sign a modification to a cooperative law enforcement agreement with the U.S. Forest Service and to sign Amendment No. 4 to an Oregon Department of Transportation Sno‑Park parking permit enforcement intergovernmental agreement. Additional approved items included Amendment #2 to the Manufactured Home Ownership Document System intergovernmental agreement with the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, Amendment 7 to the OHSU–Klamath County Public Health personal services agreement, a facility use agreement with Oregon Tech, a Springbrook Software agreement, a SoftwareOne Microsoft software extension, and a facility/artwork agreement with Underground Art Klamath Falls.
Finance presented and the board approved several supplemental budget resolutions affecting multiple funds, including amendments for the Sheriff’s Office Correction Division, Juvenile and non‑departmental accounts, the Museum Fund, Veterans Fund, and internal service reserves; the board also approved an interfund loan between Risk Management and the Fairgrounds Fund. The motions for these items were moved, seconded and carried by unanimous vote.
An appointment to the Poe Valley Vector Control District Board was also confirmed: the board moved to appoint Michael Poole and approved the appointment unanimously (OR2026‑057).
All actions listed above were approved by votes recorded in the meeting minutes; where the minutes state "unanimous vote," the board’s three commissioners voted in favor. No public comments were recorded during the county budget hearing or the other district budget hearings held that afternoon.
