Batesville council reappoints Greg Bor to Tree Board, names Clark Baker to Planning Commission; executive session held on personnel

Council reappointed Greg Bor to a five-year term on the Tree Board and voted to appoint Clark Baker to a five-year term on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Both motions were made, seconded and approved by voice vote with the mayor calling for 'all in favor.'
Mayor Elen Ball said the executive session included discussion of personnel and board appointments but that there was "no decision at this time on the Personnel" before moving to the public appointments. The council also noted a Tree Board opening and invited interested residents to apply.
The council set the next regular meeting for the first Tuesday in September (Sept. 10) and announced an upcoming City–County connection speaker series and informal public events at a river-restaurant location.
