Needham Commission on Disabilities approves annual report, sets summer hiatus

The Town of Needham Commission on Disabilities on June 16 approved its 2025–2026 annual report and the May meeting minutes and confirmed administrative roles before adjourning for a summer recess.
The co-chair presented the annual report with one small edit; after a motion and second, a roll-call vote recorded Tatiana, Carol, Moren, Parties and Karen Morales as voting to approve the report. The commission also moved to adopt the May 2026 minutes earlier in the session.
Members confirmed Alexa will continue as secretary and discussed updating the commission webpage to show expiring terms and photos from a recent award. The meeting closed with members setting the next meeting date for Sept. 15 and agreeing that the chair would circulate the agenda and transcript in advance.
The commission did not take additional policy votes at this session; most discussion focused on community programs and outreach. The body will reconvene in September to resume work and follow up on items referred to staff during the summer hiatus.
