RSU 63 board approves minutes, accepts gifts and reports; 2025–26 calendar sent back for revisions

The RSU 63 School Board approved corrected minutes, accepted donations and reports, and sent the draft 2025–26 school calendar back to staff for additional revisions at its Feb. 24 meeting at Holbrook Middle School.
The board voted 6–0 to approve the Jan. 27 minutes after Rachel Downs and Brittany Wood asked that language be corrected to reflect their recorded objection to consultant Matthew Campbell serving on the Negotiations Committee. Trustees then accepted donations of snacks from the Eddington Store and socks from the North Brewer Eddington United Methodist Church for Eddington School; that motion also passed 6–0.
Superintendent Jared Fulgoni presented his report and the trustees voted 6–0 to accept the written and verbal committee, administrators’ and superintendent’s reports. During new business, the board reviewed the proposed 2025–26 school calendar but did not approve it and directed staff to revise the draft further.
The meeting also recorded a resignation: Lisa Beers, a third‑grade teacher at Holden Elementary School, was listed as leaving her position. The board posted active searches for several openings, including a middle‑school principal, elementary and special‑education teachers, coaches for softball and baseball, an MTSS teacher at Holbrook, an ELL/MLL teacher, a speech‑language pathologist, an Education Technician II (Title I/Elementary RTI), a spare van driver and bus drivers.
