Rocky Knoll reports steady census and ongoing staffing vacancies in May administrator report

Rocky Knoll Nursing Home Administrator Kayla Clinton presented the facility’s May 2026 administrator’s report to the Sheboygan County Health Care Center Committee on June 18, 2026, reporting census, staffing and recent activities.
According to the report, the year-to-date average daily census (ADC) for Rocky Knoll stood at 146 actual versus a budgeted 132; May’s ADC was 137 (budget 132) and a separate YTD figure listed as 142. The report also listed current staffing vacancies: 17 registered nurses (RNs), five licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and 42 certified nursing assistants (CNAs). The facility recorded one new CNA hire and recent separations of six CNAs and one personal care assistant (PCA).
Clinton summarized a range of May highlights and community engagement activities, including a ribbon-cutting for local bike trails, visits from Riverview Middle School and Elkhart Lake–Glenbeulah Middle/High School, a Plymouth Girl Scouts cookie donation, a Rocky Knoll 100th Gathering Session and the completion of partnerships with UW–Madison. The report also noted National Speech–Language Month and other resident programming.
Committee members did not take a separate formal vote on the administrator’s report; items requiring action were handled later in the agenda. The committee received the report and proceeded with agenda business.
