Elk County commissioners approve $99,335 contract for electronic pollbooks, paving funds and courthouse carving

Commissioner Matthew G. Quesenberry moved to approve the contract with Elections Systems and Software, LLC; Commissioner Gregory J. Gebauer seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The $99,335 cost covers hardware, installation, training, maintenance and support, shipping and the first‑year licensing fee. County documents note additional licensing, maintenance and support for years two through five are estimated at $9,900 per year (a total of $39,600 for years 2–5).
The board also approved allocating $7,500 in Liquid Fuel Funds to Ridgway Borough for a 2025 paving project. Commissioner Gregory J. Gebauer moved the allocation; Commissioner Matthew G. Quesenberry seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Children & Youth Services received approval to renew a contract with Avanco International, LLC for an AFCARS upgrade and maintenance in the amount of $2,483.27. Commissioner Gregory J. Separately, the board granted the Ridgway Heritage Council permission to place an eagle carving on the courthouse lawn. Commissioner M. Fritz Lecker moved approval; Commissioner Matthew G. Quesenberry seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
