The Sheboygan County Property Committee voted 5-0 on June 16 to approve early use of capital project fund balance and general fund balance to begin design work on the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus Fine Arts building renovation. Supervisor Kurt Jensen moved to approve the early use of funds, and Supervisor Stephanie Arndt seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Director Kevin Dulmes had asked the committee to authorize the early release of funds so the county can begin the building’s design phase. The minutes record the committee’s approval but do not specify the amount of funds to be used or a timeline for completion of design or construction.
The item was taken up after the committee returned from a closed-session negotiation discussion earlier in the meeting; the open minutes present the renovation funding request and its approval as the substantive action taken in open session. The minutes also note that Lakeshore College will install a hand-wash sink in leased space at the UW–Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus, as an informational item presented by Director Dulmes.
Committee membership at the time of the vote was Chairperson Jon Kuhlow, Vice Chair Brian Smith, Secretary Stephanie Arndt, Member Kurt Jensen and virtual participant Drew Phillips. The committee set its next meeting for July 7, 2026 at 5:00 PM. The minutes do not record subsequent steps or specific contract or procurement actions to be taken following the vote.
