Sayreville honors two active‑adult center workers for lifesaving aid

Jeannie Cerillo told the council the staff response is part of the center’s mission: "we don't feel like heroins, honestly, 'cause we work at the senior center... Jen actually attended to her hands‑on and she was the one that was really more in direct contact with her. I just simply called 911 and we were able to get an ambulance there." The mayor and council invited the audience forward for photographs and presented the proclamations.
The presentation was a brief part of the evening’s agenda, occurring before the council moved into an executive session and later returning to the full agenda.
The council thanked both employees and noted the senior center’s ongoing programs and supports for residents.
