The West Kennebunk Village Committee on April 9 confirmed completion of several local maintenance and community projects and outlined upcoming event participation.
Committee members said work at the Holland Road playground is complete, including removal of a seesaw and stump removal. Tree maintenance was confirmed on Thompson Street at the stop sign. The committee reported that installation of a historical plaque is planned for the end of May, weather permitting.
On events, the committee said it will wait until after the May public meeting to decide whether volunteers are available to host Family Fun Day 2026. Separately, the committee confirmed it will have a booth at May Day on May 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the planned activity for the booth is crown making.
The committee also noted that the Mill/Thompson/Alfred intersection is not considered a high-crash location.
