Consultants recommended leaving the post‑closure money available given the 30‑year monitoring and closure obligations for a landfill; commissioners agreed staff should keep the funds accessible and continue to monitor rates and options.
Commissioners also moved to approve routine claims and vouchers and discussed procurement thresholds and oversight for purchases over $500; staff was directed to clarify whether other local boards or departments should present purchases exceeding that threshold to the commission for awareness.
