The commission asked the city attorney to confirm what combinations of online posting, newspaper notice and signage meet state public-notice requirements and asked staff to return with a clear, limited set of media (for example: sign, newspaper notice, city website) the city will use consistently.
The commission did not change the substance of the zoning draft at this meeting but agreed that better, earlier communication is needed so neighbors can learn of proposals affecting their properties.
