The Palisade Village Board of Trustees approved $53,480.75 in claims and preapproved estimated payroll of about $8,500 for April 15 and May 1 during its April 8 regular session. Trustee Randy Miner moved to approve the claims; Trustee Joe Vrbas seconded and the motion carried as recorded.
Clerk Kristin L. Ward presented the vendor list that was part of the claims packet, which included sewer services, insurance, utilities and other routine items. Ward told the Board she expects the audit of accounts she was asked to perform will be ready for the next meeting.
Trustee Randy Miner moved to approve five separate building permits (nos. 414–418); the Board approved each permit by recorded motions and seconds. The Board also accepted routine financial statements and proceeded with the consent-agenda style business that opened the meeting.
The meeting record shows the Board directed continued advertising for pool manager and lifeguard vacancies and noted that about 40% of residents who received notices about chicken licensing have completed licensing. The Board set the next regular meeting for May 13, 2026 at 7 p.m. CST.
