Sandy River assessors approve minutes and driveway permits, review warrants and pending plans

The Sandy River Plantation Board of Assessors approved the minutes of the Jan. 27, 2026 regular meeting by motion of Assessor Lisa Kinsman with a second from Assessor Joanne Taylor.
The board reviewed and signed warrants under its standard process. Two driveway entrance permit applications were reviewed and approved (motion by Kinsman, second by Taylor). No LUPC building permit applications were reported since the last meeting.
The clerk reported that updated drafts of the Emergency Management Plan (including combined forest fire mitigation) and the Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) are in progress and are expected for review at the March 10 meeting. The clerk also read the annual SeniorPlus services report for Sandy River Plantation and noted a notice from Central Maine Power (CMP) regarding planned line-clearing activities.
The board set the next regular BOA meeting and the regional quarterly meeting for Feb. 24, 2026. The meeting was adjourned at 5:16 PM.
