Beaver Crossing trustees hire summer pool staff, freeze prices and order 14-foot diving board

Schernikau as manager at $22.00 per hour and a slate of assistant and seasonal lifeguards at tiered wages; Trustee Kaely Eberspacher seconded the motion, which passed on a 5-0 roll call. The hires listed in the motion were J. Fehlhafer as assistant manager ($20.00/hr); L. Breitkreutz and G. Schernikau as 4th-year guards ($17.00/hr); E. Baack and R. Fehlhafer as 2nd-year guards ($16.00/hr); and C. Pankoke, A. Riley, L. Steele and C. Stelling as 1st-year guards ($15.00/hr).
On equipment, Trustee Ray Foreman reported Aqua‑Chem’s quote of $6,200 plus shipping for a 14-foot S.R. Smith aluminum diving board. Trustee Jere Leif moved to purchase that board from Aqua‑Chem; Trustee Eberspacher seconded and the motion carried 5-0. Leif said he will check whether the Ihde Fund can help cover the cost and Foreman said he will place the order.
Trustee Leif also moved that pool admission prices remain unchanged for 2025; Trustee Eberspacher seconded and the measure passed unanimously.
The board recorded these as routine operational decisions to ensure the pool is staffed and ready for the summer season. No public comment was recorded on the pool matters.
