West Des Moines council receives clarifications on AI compliance vendor contract

Council members said those clarifications addressed primary concerns about data ownership and foreign processing.
Councilman McKenna said staff and legal reviews confirmed the protections and that no motion to reconsider the prior vote was necessary. The council indicated it will continue to monitor implementation and compliance with privacy protections.
