Board members said the checklist is not meant to replace engineered plans for large road or subdivision projects but to provide a clear tool for applicants on when a simple, standardized checklist suffices. The board agreed to add a prominent applicability note — highlighted at the top of the form — that it is to be used only when soil disturbance is proposed, and to include a URL linking to technical best practices and district guidance.
During discussion, board members suggested attaching the checklist to the standard application package so applicants know to complete it or call planning staff to determine applicability. After edits were noted, the board moved to approve the draft checklist with the added link and use instructions; the motion passed unanimously.
