Key changes include restoring the cleaning fee to $100 (staff said the fee had been reduced to $50 without board approval and needs to return to the previously approved level), modestly increasing nonresident facility and program rates, retaining resident discounts, and clarifying that nonprofits would receive one free rental per quarter with a $100 donation requested for additional rentals. Staff also proposed eliminating weekend‑only social‑room rentals (to prevent informal use of the larger facility) and codifying a flat fee for the sound system and AV equipment.
Summer camp changes keep the base resident fee at $90 for core hours (8 a.m.–4 p.m.) with an optional extended‑hour fee of $45 per child for care through 5 p.m.; nonresident camp fees will increase to reflect higher operating costs. Kids‑zone afternoon rates were modestly increased after seven years without changes. Staff asked for an effective date around March 1 to allow adequate notice to families and groups with existing bookings.
The board voted to approve the package as presented with the cleaning‑fee language updated from a refundable deposit to a nonrefundable cleaning fee; staff said previously booked events would be honored under old rates.
