David said a phosphate treatment test is underway to lower levels before returning a well to service; testing is expected to take about 60 days and the team has completed nearly 30 days of that trial.
Commissioners and staff discussed better public communication tools for water advisories; several commissioners urged development of department pages or social media posts to notify residents promptly about issues such as outages, water quality concerns and hydrant status.
The budget amendment and the administrative authorizations (USDA financing and RFQ) were approved by voice vote; the water updates were received for the record and staff will provide follow‑up as repairs and testing progress.
