At its meeting the RSU 38 School Board approved a slate of routine actions by unanimous voice vote.
The board approved minutes from the Jan. 14, 2026 meeting and the Jan. 21, 2026 budget workshop (with two previously discussed amendments). The board accepted donations to the school food pantry through Jan. 26, 2026: Ann Parker ($200), the Marin Educational Foundation ($250), Joan Weebi ($100) and Nancy Perkins ($450). The board thanked donors and noted that online/501(c)(3) contributions are processed through the Marin Educational Foundation (MEF).
The board also completed second readings and approved three policies: BED (remote participation in board meetings), BDCH (public participation at board meetings) and KF (use of school facilities). The board discussed litigation related to a resident of Augusta during the public participation policy conversation but approved the policy at second reading.
Finally, the board approved the administration’s proposal to add two remote learning days this school year. All recorded motions passed by unanimous voice vote; the transcript records unanimous consent but does not provide roll-call tallies.
