The Henniker Zoning Board of Adjustment heard a request June 17 to continue a rehearing for ZBA Case 2026-03 until the board could convene a full five-member panel.
The board’s chair (S5) opened the meeting at 6:05 p.m. and explained that, under the board’s rules of procedure, an applicant has the right to continue a hearing when fewer than five members are present. Laura Gandy, attorney for the applicant, told the board, "Yes, we would like to continue it until we can have a full 5 member board."
Board members confirmed their July meeting date as July 15, 2026, and asked staff to notify participants in advance. Members noted one colleague was absent and "in the hospital," and the chair said staff would inform parties if the membership situation changed before the scheduled rehearing.
No substantive testimony or vote on the underlying application occurred at the June 17 meeting; the rehearing was continued to the July meeting.
