Bayard council approves appointments, major bills and property, and a new police SUV

Council member Chris Baird moved to approve all city bills and claims totaling $214,656.31; the motion was seconded and carried by unanimous roll call. During public comment, resident Jessica Dankowski asked whether the council would be interested in a meeting with the local school board to discuss the town’s future; the minutes note the request but do not record any formal follow-up. Council President Marty Marquez adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
