RSU 38 board chair announces he will step down after 12 years

Board members said Vice Chair Leslie (vice chair referenced as 'Leslie' in the record) will cover chair responsibilities over the summer and the board will elect a new chair at the start of the next school year; Reedfield officials will be asked to appoint a new board member to fill the vacant seat for the remainder of the term. Members thanked the chair for his service and wished him well.
The resignation was announced during the course of the meeting and the board moved on to other agenda items, including executive sessions and formal votes.
