The Stillwater Area Public Schools board voted unanimously Tuesday to approve the 2025—2027 Principal Master Agreement, a two-year contract that covers July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
The agreement, as described to the board, includes a 2% increase to salary schedules in each contract year, step advancement in both years, adjustments to longevity pay and revisions to insurance language. The contract also eliminates the district's short-term disability benefit in anticipation of the state's paid family and medical leave (PFML) program taking effect in January 2026.
Board member Alison Sherman moved to approve the agreement; Andrew Thelander seconded and the motion passed 7-0. The board record does not include individual roll-call votes by name, only the 7-0 tally.
Board materials presented the changes as measures to update benefit language and maintain competitive principal compensation; the contract was placed on the agenda through an approved amendment prior to the vote. The agreement was described as effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027, and will be implemented by district human resources and payroll staff.
The meeting later moved into a closed session to consider real property; no further contract details were disclosed in open session.
