Roxbury defers solar decommission plan after DEP review request; Planning Board job description sent for review

The Town of Roxbury on Aug. 9 deferred action on a proposed Solar Decommission plan after officials contacted the Department of Environmental Protection for guidance and determined an additional paper was required. The minutes note the board "called Nick Archer from DEP" and that the matter will be carried to the next meeting.
During the Planning Board portion of the meeting, Selectman Timothy Derouche moved to send the Town of Roxbury Planning Board Job Description to the Planning Board for review; Selectman Matthew Patneaude seconded and the vote was 2-0 in favor. The board also noted that a page on the Planning Board application was not filled out after approval and directed that omission be brought to the Planning Board's attention.
Under ordinances, the board recorded that the Planning Board ordinance's statutory reference needs updating. In code-enforcement business, several items were forwarded to DEP for review, including lake DEP concerns at Sunset Cove, unpermitted work in the shoreland area, and a dock on an island. A separate building-permit item recorded that a house on Main Street had its permit extended and that a silt fence had been repaired.
The board did not act further on decommissioning or ordinance text revisions at this meeting; it deferred substantive decision-making until required documentation and statutory updates are prepared.
