Roxbury selectmen authorize up to $26,250 from TIF for professional services; approve warrants and routine motions

The Roxbury Board of Selectmen voted Aug. 9 to authorize up to $26,250 from the town's Tax Increment Financing (TIF) account to pay for professional services in support of a Special Town Meeting. Selectman Timothy Derouche made the motion and Selectman Matthew Patneaude seconded; the motion passed 2-0.
The action followed a slate of routine approvals. The board approved the minutes of the July 26, 2022 meeting (motion by Derouche, second by Patneaude, vote 2-0) and approved the return warrant for the July 26 meeting by the same margin. The board also approved the town warrant for $22,594.97 (motion by Derouche, second by Patneaude, vote 2-0).
On small municipal purchases, the board voted 2-0 to buy six bloom-notification signs for Ellis Pond after reviewing sample maps. The board recorded other nonfinancial items, including reviewing and initialing corrections to the tax commitment calculations and noting that the Department of Transportation will install a school bus sign on the northbound approach to the village.
The board scheduled follow-up steps where needed: Selectman Derouche was directed to prepare and send TIF map materials to the town office, and the board recorded that copies of the minutes are available at the town office and were approved as written on Aug. 23, 2022.
