Pasco County proclaims Faith & Family Month, recognizes Time 100 honoree, poster winners and retiring county attorney

The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners used its June 16 meeting to approve a sequence of ceremonial resolutions and recognitions.
The board approved Resolution 26‑262 declaring June 2026 as Faith, Family and Responsible Fatherhood Month in Pasco County. Multiple faith leaders and representatives from municipalities, including Port Richey’s mayor and vice mayor, addressed the board in support of the proclamation and described local family‑oriented events and faith‑based partnerships with the county.
The board also read and approved a resolution congratulating Dr. Kieran Musenuru on his selection to Time magazine’s Time 100 list; the resolution summarized his academic and research accomplishments and recognized his local ties.
Pasco County Utilities and FGUA were recognized for their water awareness poster contest; first‑place student recipients were presented and invited to describe their work onstage. Phoenix McKenna, Pasco County Utilities’ water conservation coordinator, said the contest supports STEAM and water conservation education.
Finally, the board read and adopted Resolution 26‑261 commending Pasco County Attorney Jeffrey N. Stein Snider for 18 years of public service; commissioners offered personal remarks and tributes before a group photo.
All ceremonial resolutions were approved by voice vote during the morning session.
