John Watson of Insight Engineering presented an application for a roughly 524-square-foot, one-bedroom prefabricated accessory cabin at 202 Dogtail Corners Road. The building inspector had determined the structure met the minimum accessory-department threshold (500 sq ft). The board classified the application as a Type II action under SEQR and referred the matter to the Dutchess County Department of Planning and Development for section 239-m review.
The board amended draft resolution language to describe the submission as a site plan rather than a subdivision plat and then set a public hearing for Monday, May 19 at 7 p.m. The board also directed that the application be circulated to the county and that the fire department be included in the public hearing referral process.
Next steps: county planning review, receipt of any fire-department comments, and the May 19 public hearing.
