Lebanon Committee reviews draft 2025 budget, schedules follow-up meeting

Township of Lebanon Mayor Brian Wunder called a Budget Work Session of the Township Committee to order at 5:30 p.m. on March 6, 2025, stating the meeting complied with the Open Public Meeting Act and that the agenda was posted at the Municipal Building and on the township website.
Township Chief Financial Officer Lorraine England presented the draft 2025 budget and reviewed the proposed revenues and expenditures with committee members. Committee members discussed line items and budget priorities but did not take any formal vote to adopt the budget at this session.
Warren Gabriel, the Department of Public Works supervisor, spoke to the committee about DPW-specific needs reflected in the draft budget, highlighting department priorities that the committee said they would address in continued review.
Committee members agreed to continue discussion at a follow-up Budget Work Session scheduled for Thursday, March 13, 2025. No formal action on the budget was taken during the March 6 meeting.
The committee opened the public comment period on a motion from Committee Member Beverly Koehler, seconded by Tom McKee. The roll call showed all five committee members present; after noting no members of the public wished to speak, Jay Wojcik moved to close public comment, seconded by Tom McKee. The motions to open and close public comment carried on unanimous aye votes by the five committee members (Abe Abuchowski, Beverly Koehler, Jay Wojcik, Tom McKee and Mayor Brian Wunder).
With no further business, Beverly Koehler moved to adjourn, Tom McKee seconded, and the committee voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:23 p.m.
