Paradise Township Sewer Authority elects officers and confirms professional appointments

At its Jan. 5 meeting the Paradise Township Sewer Authority elected Brian Groff chairman, completed officer appointments, established a $1.5 million treasurer’s bond and appointed solicitor, engineer and bank depositories; actions were unanimous.
The Paradise Township Sewer Authority reorganized and confirmed its professional appointments at a Jan. 5 meeting in the Paradise Township Municipal Building. Temporary chair Susan P. Peipher presided over officer elections in which Bryan Stoltzfus moved and Dave Bowman seconded the appointment of Brian Groff as chairman; the motion carried unanimously.
The board then filled remaining officer roles: a motion by J.B. Stoltzfus, seconded by Kaitlyn Jones, appointed Bryan Stoltzfus vice chairman; motions appointed Brian Groff treasurer, Dave Bowman assistant secretary/treasurer and Kaitlyn Jones secretary. The board also established a sewer treasurer’s bond of $1,500,000 and unanimously appointed Appel Yost LLP (Susan P. Peipher) as solicitor and Rettew Associates, Inc. as the Authority’s engineer. S&T Bank was named a public sewer depository and Truist Bank a Truist OLDS depository.
Board members approved minutes of the Dec. 1, 2025 regular meeting and the Dec. 18, 2025 special meeting. Chairman Brian Groff announced two executive sessions had been held recently: Dec. 22, 2025 to discuss potential claims stemming from an incident at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, and Jan. 5, 2026 to discuss legal issues related to a potential sale of assets.
The board adjourned the meeting at 8:36 P.M. and scheduled its next regular session for Feb. 2, 2026, at 7:00 P.M.
