Paradise Township Sewer Authority tables updated industrial-waste rules for enforcement language

The Paradise Township Sewer Authority on July 7 tabled adoption of a resolution containing updated rules and regulations governing industrial and prohibited waste after locating the Authority’s original 1991 resolution and determining it lacks enforcement language.
Aaron Dewald of Rettew Associates told the Board the original resolution contains provisions the Authority needs but does not include enforcement mechanisms. On a motion by Dave Bowman, seconded by Brian Groff, the Board voted unanimously to table adoption so Rettew can prepare suggested revisions addressing enforcement and return them for future consideration.
Board members instructed the engineer to draft proposed language to ensure the Authority can enforce prohibitions on illegal discharges if adopted at a subsequent meeting.
